| Hi everyone! Our first summer with Rebekah has been wonderful. She is now walking all over the place! She is so much fun to watch. She loves to wrestle on the floor and play with stuffed animals. Loves to give kisses and cuddle. We were at CBLI on staff with the young adult track. What a blessing that was! Rebekah had so much fun meeting new friends and we also took her to the pool alot. She really loved that. I was trully blessed by the young adults. They have a ton of passion to follow Christ. This year we talked about walking the talk. We can't be on the fence when it comes to following Christ. Either we are or not. There is no grey area when it comes to being a Christian. I will be leaving Plymouth Salvation Army after working there for the past 10 years. God has opened the door for me to move to work at the Dearborn Heights Salvation Army as the social worker. I am very excited to start on August 27th. I have always wanted to work for the church I attend. There is so much opportunity to expand my ministry there. I have alot of ideas of programs to start. Pray for me. Well, the Tigers are playing aweful! They need to get it together quickly. I really want to see them in the playoffs again. Speaking of playoffs, our Dearborn Heights men's softball team won it all this year! Great job team! I have so much fun coaching those guys. Thats it for now. God bless you. | | |
| Aren't you all excited? Next week is baseball season all over again. Will the Tigers be great once again? I think so. How could they not? Great pitching and more pop in the line up. That makes champions. Also next week we are leaving for Florida. It will be Rebekahs first Florida vacation. I wonder how she will react to all the new sights. We'll see. I can't wait for the day I can take her to Disney. All of you going to youth counsils have fun! Praise and Worship your head off! That's what it's all about. Bring back some blessings. You will be in my prayers. God bless. | | |
| I was almost killed this morning by a flying branch. I was getting in my car to go to work and a branch flew right by my head. It is a windy day. I am at work and it is lunch time. I really have nothing to say. My wife is beautiful, my daughter is beautiful and Survivor is on tonight. Life is good. I hate missing the Office so I record it and watch it after Survivor. That's a funny show. If you haven't seen it you have to try it. You'll be hooked. God bless. | | |
| Ok, I know I have been saying I love the cold but this is kind of rediculous! When my nose sticks together and my ears burn means it's a little to cold for my taste. It's Michigan. Next weekend will be the dedication of our daughter. I can't wait. My family is coming in from St. Louis for the weekend. That makes me happy not only because they get to see Rebekah again but they will be attending church on Sunday. My family doesn't attend much church unless someone dies or maybe for Easter. There is a viewing tonight for Claude Wyre. I hope I spelled it right. I didn't know him that well but I did learn alot about him through Elizabeth and her family. He was a big part of Elizabeth as she was growing up. Claude was a sincere Godly man. I have been going to DHC since 1999 and he always sat behind us on Sundays. He always had something funny to say and always sweet. A great loss for Dearborn Heights. This might sound terrible but I won't be attending the viewing or the meeting for Claude. The only funerals I have gone to were family members. I think I have a phobia of them. It is something I need to work on I guess. I just don't like the end for anyone. I know Claude will be with his Father, I am happy for that. Da Bears made it! Lets see if they can make it past Payton Manning . | | |
| Yes! I love the cold crisp air. We took Rebekah out to take pictures in front of our ice covered trees. It was her first ice storm. I don't think she was very impressed. I can't say enough about her. I wake up every morning thanking God for my family. I am still humbled and blessed for what God has done in my life the past 11 years. God has put it on my heart to start a new ministry. There is a drug and alchohol rehab center in Plymouth. I am going to start a bible study there once a week. The clients come here for food assistance but they need more than that. The rehab they are in has plenty of classes to start recovery which is great but they need more than that. I don't know how mant will attend but keep me in your prayers. I am totally excited that the NFL playoffs are going on. I am pulling for DA BEARS! Let's just hope Rex Grossman can keep it together. Anyway, thats it for now. I pray you are all well and happy. God is good! | | |
